Namibia, where the land meets the sea. I came across this image a few years ago and knew right away I had to paint it.

The combination of desert dunes rolling right up to the edge of the ocean under a cerulean sky was irresistible.

At first glance, it seems surreal, impossible. But friends from Africa tell me that Namibia is even more beautiful than any pictures.
