The iconic images from both the original and the new Blade Runner films continue to fascinate me. I get a haunting feeling from this image of Rachael, who is also a haunted, complex character. She expresses so much in her aspect that I feel yet cannot verbally articulate in my daily life.
I thought Sean Young gave a great, underrated performance in the first Blade Runner. Her digitally altered appearance in the second one was equally stunning.
I’ve included my pencil drawing so the viewer can see the creative process.
