Winterberry was originally shown at the Square Show at the Seattle Design Center in 2013. It was part of my fruit series, and one of the few that didn't sell immediately at the opening. I've always thought of it as a festive holiday work, with its fanciful silver leaves and oversize bright pink berries. It makes me think of the beauty of winter.
The most recent exhibition has been at my 2019 solo show at the Sammamish Commons Gallery; Celebrating the Pacific Northwest. It was many people’s favorite work, including the exhibition’s curator.
This is now available in cross stitch as the original painting sold in 2021.
