The Siren is a being from Greek Mythology which has always fascinated me. Her allure is magical and not quite human. Starbucks famously used her as their iconic logo and the graphic artist Milton Glaser created a poster for the company representing her in 1996, celebrating Starbucks 25th anniversary. He paid homage to 1971, the year Starbucks came into being. The glowing colors entranced me, so I created a painting for myself.
I took the image and re-imagined it, giving his Siren an updated look. I also changed the cup image, making her an infinity Siren.
This is now available in cross stitch as the original painting we have taken off the market to keep.
